From the Founder

The songs began in a circle of chairs.

My name is Duane Fernandez. I live in Cochran, Georgia, and I've spent more than forty years leading church music — and served as a certified funeral celebrant through more than seventy memorial services.

Before every service, I gathered the family in a circle and asked about the person they loved. Not interview questions — just openings. Stories came out. People laughed. People cried. One man wrote to me afterward: "You listened to our stories, and we know that you heard them because you shared them."

MemoVivo grew out of those circles. Every song is built the same way — from the stories, the sayings, and the small ordinary things only a family would know.
